Anthony Summers

Director of Operations

Anthony “AJ” Summers joined Tinsley Family Concessions, Inc. in November, 2009.   Anthony received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky in 2000. While a student at UK, AJ was a member of the support staff for the men’s basketball program under the direction of Head Coaches Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith.   He was a member of the 1998 National Championship Team as a student manager.

After graduation AJ was hired by Tubby Smith as a Special Assistant to the Head Coach.  Moving back to his hometown of Louisville, KY, AJ accepted a job offer as an Account Executive at WLKY-TV( the CBS affiliate in Louisville).  In 2003, he joined a group of investors and purchased a food distribution company.  Serving as VP of Operations at Triple “S” Distributors, AJ managed the day-to-day operations.  In five years AJ doubled the business and Triple “S” Distributors became a market leader in snack food distribution with over 500 delivery locations.
In September, 2007, Anthony was appointed Assistant Director /Chief of Staff of the newly formed Housing and Family Services Department with Louisville Metro Government. He used his expertise in customer service and service delivery to improve efficiencies within the department. After one year leading the department, AJ was asked to assume the role of assistant director of HR where he formed innovative solutions for every department within Metro Government. Metro Government had 6,000 employees.

A promise made to himself was fulfilled when he received his MBA in May 2010.  In addition to receiving an MBA, Anthony is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Louisville, Certified in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and a graduate of the Broadcast Sales Academy hosted by Belo TV, Hearst Argyle and Lin TV.

In his current role as Director of Operations of Airside C at the Tampa Airport, Anthony is involved in every aspect of daily operations. Airside C includes brands such as Quizno’s, Starbucks, Nathan’s, Chili’s, Shula’s and Cigar City Brewing.

AJ and his wife Michelle are active in their church and community setting an example of service to their children William and Hannah.





Gibran Washington

Gibran Washington joined Tinsley Family Concessions, Inc. in 2005 immediately following graduation.  Gibran is a graduate of Hofstra University where he received a degree in Business Hospitality and Culinary Management.  He is proficient in every area of the restaurant business, demonstrating expertise in: Front & Back of the House Operation Turnaround Management Budgeting and Cost Controls Multi-outlet Operations Maximizing kitchen productivity and staff performance Guest Service Excellence Profit and Growth Strategies Payroll and P&L Management

With more than nine years of professional management experience, Gibran exemplifies leadership qualities and professionalism, backed by a consistent, verifiable record of achievement. As General Manager, Gibran has consistently maintained a high level of customer satisfaction and efficiency in establishments including: TGIF, Home Team Bar and Grill, Nathans, Quiznos, Starbucks and Chili’s.

Gibran is married and has 3 beautiful children, Alyce, Gianna, and Elena.
